The leaderboard was stacked with big-name golfers. Rory McIlroy entered the final round with a three-shot lead at 12 under. Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Adam Scott, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson were in the field.
Before the tournament, Watson seemed open to having a presidential hopeful on hand.
“We’ve had presidents, ex-presidents show up and cheer us on at different events, so that’s pretty neat and unique,” Watson told Golf.com. “But for it to be in the middle of a race, yeah, it will be different.”
