The incumbent president’s chances of re-election improved marginally after the event in Salt Lake City on Wednesday. His odds moved from 2-1 (33 percent chance) to 15-8 (34 percent chance), according to bookmakers Betfair. At one point during the debate, firm also gave Joe Biden less chance of winning than at any point in 2020 campaign so far. However, the U.K.-based bookmaker said that the Democrat remains the odds-on favourite to win the presidency at 8-15 (65 percent chance)....

Hundreds of Trump’s supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 in an apparent effort to disrupt the formal certification of President Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory. The House committee investigating the attack has in recent days issued subpoenas targeting Trump’s family and members of his inner circle, as some legal experts have called for the former president’s prosecution to prevent him from running for president again in 2024....

Kenneth McKenzie, commander of the United States General Command, admitted on Friday that the attack killed 10 civilians, including as many as seven children, although the military had previously said that the August 29 strike was necessary to prevent Islamic state militant group ISIS-K from launching new terrorist attacks. According to The Washington Post which cited multiple sources inside the White House who spoke on condition of anonymity, Trump has grown increasingly worried over the slow progress his administration has made on bringing his border wall vision to fruition. As Newsweek reported on Tuesday, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has so far completed just over 13 percent of the construction of the 450 miles of border wall that the Trump administration has vowed to see built by the end of 2020....

Glenn Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor, told MSNBC’s The ReidOut that the DoJ is “about to play catch up” to some federal judges with regards to ruling the former president committed a crime before and after the January 6 insurrection. Kirschner noted how District Court Judge David Carter recently ordered Trump’s attorney John Eastman—who is accused of conspiring with the former president to overturn the 2020 election results—to hand over more emails to the House Select Committee as part of the investigation into the January 6 attack....

While DLC has always been somewhat controversial, especially in charging for content often intentionally left out of the full retail package, in the case of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Treyarch says it’s not them setting the high prices. From a business perspective, it does make some sense that the prices for the DLC are so high since gamers are actually buying them in record numbers.
