Trump doubled down on the advert titled “Carefully” after Dr. Fauci told CNN that he had “never publicly endorsed any political candidate” over almost five decades of public service. “The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials,” he said in a statement....

Democratic candidate Andy Beshear is claiming victory in Tuesday’s election over incumbent Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin, an ally of President Donald Trump. Bevin is unpopular in Kentucky and has had some bruising political fights, including one with the state’s public school teachers over education cuts. Beshear, who served as the state’s attorney general, is the son of former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear. Per PBS, Beshear beat Bevin by around 5,000 votes in a close-run race....

Speaking to Candace Owens for The Daily Wire, Trump repeated his previous claims that real insurrection did not occur at the Capitol on January 6, but on Election Day in November 2020 as he continued to push his false claims that the last election was rigged against him. However, that is incredibly unlikely. Well, a few months on and I feel compelled to change my view. Why? Well, because I feel that Dortmund have acted very shrewdly in the transfer market, signing Henrik Mkhitaryan to replace Goetze and the much sought after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from St Etienne, they’ve also managed to keep Robert Lewandowski out of Bayern’s clutches, for a year at least. Super Happy Fun America (SHFA) organized a rally in Copley Square on Sunday, billed as a “Peaceful Protest Against Democrat Violence.” The group, which reportedly has far-right ties, is best-known for organizing a controversial “Straight Pride Parade” in the city last year. On a Facebook page for the event, the group claimed the Black Lives Matter movement and antifa were “the extremist wing of the Democrat Party” and called for Democrats “to fully renounce the violent actions of their supporters....

According to Bloomberg, Trump dropped a lawsuit Thursday seeking to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia. The action comes just one day after a mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol to protest the certification of the election by members of Congress. Before the president’s voluntary dismissal of the lawsuit, U.S. District Judge Mark Cohen had rejected his emergency injunction request to order the state legislature to choose a new slate of electors....

Haberman, who is White House correspondent with The New York Times, spoke to CNN’s New Day on Thursday about her upcoming book Confidence Man and a claim in that book about staff finding papers clogging a White House toilet during Trump’s time in office. Her comments about Trump’s apparent interest in Kim come after reports that so-called “love letters” from the dictator were retrieved from the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residence by the National Archives....
