The commander-in-chief has also seen his backing among Hispanic and Latino voters jump by 4 points over his first term, with 32 percent telling exit pollsters they backed Trump on Tuesday compared to the 28 percent who said so in 2016....

The eldest son of former President Donald Trump posted a message on video-sharing app Rumble in which he said the “optics” of Cruz’s trip weren’t “ideal.” Cruz has admitted to traveling with his family to Cancun, only to return on Thursday as the criticism intensified. According to the Associated Press, Trump has received so far 72,071,588 popular votes in the 2020 presidential election, with several states still counting votes. The number of popular votes Trump has received pushes him past the previous mark set by President Barack Obama from the 2012 election. Then-incumbent Obama received 65,915,795 popular votes in his victory of Republican challenger Mitt Romney. The projected winner of the 2020 election, Joe Biden, has also broke records in the election, as he has received the most popular votes in any presidential election, with approximately 77,181,771 and counting, according to the AP....

There is so far no evidence presented to suggest electoral fraud or irregularities on a scale that could have changed the outcome. However, Trump and his supporters keep pushing for repeated examinations of the ballots. A controversial audit of votes is taking place in Arizona’s Maricopa County at the behest of state Republicans, an effort Trump strongly supports. Trump has touted that there are “more to follow” and his allies have hinted the same....

In a video that has since gained over 300,000 views, the list of ingredients was so long that not all of them could be displayed on the screen. China’s National Bureau of Statistics said this week that the Chinese economy grew 6.2 percent in the second quarter of 2019, slightly below the 6.4 percent growth of the first quarter of the year. This marked the slowest rate of economic growth since 1992, Reuters noted. In a brief, unsigned order issued on Friday evening, the court said it would not hear the case filed by embattled Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and none of the nine justices showed any endorsement for the plaintiffs’ arguments. “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections,” the ruling said.
